If you're uploading PDFs to your website there are usually two different methods of how this is done:
- a PDF synced to the product page displayed as a download link on the product's page
or - a PDF uploaded through the CMS file manager which you would then have to manually link to from any other page or product description
PDFs loaded against products:
- Size limit is 16MB
Note that the naming convention is usually the same as the stock code. Follow up with your Web Ninja contact for clarification if you're not sure.
PDFs uploaded to the CMS File Manager:
- Size limit is 10MB
TIPS & TROUBLESHOOTING
You can use 3rd-party PDF compressors to reduce the size of your PDFs — most tools you use to create a PDF give you options to compress image sizes.
If you find that the PDF loaded in the CMS file manager is linking to a blank page, try deleting it and re-uploading the PDF as there may have been an interruption to your browser's connection to the site when you initially uploaded the PDF.
