Connecting Google Drive to a Webstore

A quick guide to connecting Google drive to a website to sync product & category images as well as PDFs and csv files.

Please create a folder in your Google Drive called Web Ninja. To enable sharing, make sure the folder contains at least one file or subfolder.

Once created, share it with our Google service account:
drive-reader@web-ninja-1287.iam.gserviceaccount.com
and set the access level to Viewer.

Once it's shared open the folder in your browser and copy the full url and paste it into the settings here:
siteurl/admin/google-drive/connect

Or go to the sync drop-down at the top and then Google Drive

When pasting in the URL, make sure that it excludes "/u/0/".

Save your changes and the page will refresh. After a moment it'll refresh to show all folder names it's looking for - and if any are missing it'll prompt you what name to call each sub folder in your Google Drive Web Ninja folder.

Here's what the folder names should all be called:

NOTE: these folders MUST match the above spellings exactly, including case sensitivity.

If they don't match - they won't sync to the site.

Once you've added the relevant sub folders - refresh the Google Drive connection page in your browser - and you'll see it verify each folder name eg:

After that, the relevant folders you've connected to the site will begin to sync per standard Google Drive scheduling in the Sync Status page.
