2 Factor Authentication for Web Ninja
2FA provides an extra layer of security for your business and client data, helping prevent unauthorised access even if your password is compromised.
SECURITY UPDATE OVERVIEW
Security is vitally important to us at Web Ninja, so since October 2020 we have a 2-Factor authentication (2FA) log-in for your Web Ninja Admin login.
NOTE: 2 factor isn't yet available for customer logins - our developers are working on a future update to make this happen but there are a lot more complexities involved.
How It Works
Once you are set up as a CMS (Content Management System) admin user and have selected your password. You'll need to go to your site's domain (or if you have a Shopify Connector with us, you'll need to go to the connector's Webninjashops domain) and add "/admin" on the end of your domain.
Once you successfully login with the correct user/pass that you've been given, then the 2 Factor Authentication kicks in. A temporary Access Code will be emailed to your email address and can be copied and pasted into the login screen. This access code lasts for up to 12 hours.
NOTE: if you change your IP address by moving to a different network or PC - you'll be emailed a new 2 factor code.
