Customer Upload from MYOB Exo
General guideline for importing customers from Exo to your Webninja web store. Some settings may be slightly different for your site.
NOTE: if you don't use MYOB Exo - please browse to the relevant section in our helpdesk for your ERP accounting software for the relevant customer sync instructions.
- Locate the relevant Debtor in Exo
- Navigate to the Extra Fields tab on the Debtor card:
and tick the “Upload to Web” tick box.
If this tickbox doesn't exist, you'll need to add it (or have your Exo partner add it for you) and notify Webninja's Support Team - however it should have been set up at the time your site went live. - Go to the Contacts Tab and open the Contact you want to use for the website. By default our system will use the primary contact set on the debtor (sometimes this setting is hidden in a dropdown menu or an icon - depending how your Exo has been configured).
NOTE: If you want to upload multiple contacts per debtor - Webninja may need to enable an extra setting. -
Verify that the contact has a valid email address, as this will serve as the customer's login for the site and the destination for the email invitation to access the site.

Go to the Extra fields tab and tick the “Web Contact” tick box

Make sure you SAVE and EXIT on both the CONTACT and the DEBTOR
The next time the software sync’s this customer account will be created on the website and the customer will be auto-emailed the invitation which includes the URL to the site, their login and password.
IMPORTANT: the email address must be unique per contact as it's used for the unique identifier for webstore customers. If you try to sync someone to the site who has an email address that's already used on the website - they won't be created as a new user online.
TIPS:
- Make sure you have checked and updated the email content before doing your customer upload
- If you ever want to resend the invite, you can simply delete the customer from the website Admin and allow the software to resync
